Your view on the timing to apply for Citizenship

Hello,
I live in Texas and I am eligible to apply for the US citizenship. My situation is that we are planning a trip to India sometime mid-June. If I apply for citizenship in the next couple of days, would there be a conflict in terms of the timings for finger-printing and/or the oath ceremony with the trip to India?

Has anyone been in a similar situation and what would you guys recommend?

Seems to be tight. If you are not in a hurry, why don't you apply after you return from your trip?
