Travel while Naturalization Application pending

I filed my n-400 application in January and it is pending as of today. I want to visit my friend in Canada for a weekend.

Will I run into any trouble with USCIS upon my return or in my interview?

No problem. Just be sure when you have your interview to inform the officer to add your recent trip(s) to your application form; i.e., you need to update your travel info on your N400-form during the interview with the officer.
