if GC expires before becoming citizen?

Hello:
I am in the process of preparing my application and putting together everything needed for my citizenship application. If my Green card expires before I become a citizen, should I also apply for my Green card extension along with my citizenship application? My Green card expires October 2011.

I think you should be fine unless you want to travel after Oct 2011 and you do not have your US passport yet. In that case you would need a valid greencard to travel.

If you have a straight-forward case though (no break in continuous residency, no problem with the physical presence requirement, no problem with the law) you will be most likely naturalized before your greencard expires. I would suggest to send in your naturalization application as soon as possible to get the process started.
