Question regarding the continuous residence.

Hello guys.

I have a question regarding eligibility to apply for citizenship. I have been green card holder for 4 years now. I already have 2.5 years physical presence in the US. However in the next 1 year I need to be out of the US. I do not want to apply for re-entry permit, cause this will break my continuous residence and my eligibility to apply for naturalization. How about being out of the US for 6 months, then enter for 1 day and another 6 months out of the US. Can these these 2 trips out of the US break my continuous residence ?

You can make use of the Travel document for I-131 and record your traveling details .
