US Citizen kid in India

Hi

My baby is a US citizen and he has US passport till 2015 and PIO card 2025. Currently he is in india since last 5 months. She will stay more than 1-2 years in India, so what should we do to stay in India if more than 6 months. ?
any process is required for stay more than 6 months ?
Where we need to go for registration ?

Please help me on that

You will need to go and register in the local police station in India. We did that for my baby when he was in India

I thought you could renew the stay in India when using PIO card only one time. Is that not correct? Using the criteria I mentioned, I assumed you could stay a maximum of 1 year using your PIO card.

For minors < 16 years, no need to register them at Police station/FRRO for 16 years if their PIO card is valid.
I had my 1 year old stayed in India for 1 year. I even visited FRRO in India to register her but the office there told me it is not needed for minors.
