Hi, I'm turning 21 next month and i'm a college student here in Vegas and I'm a US citizen. My aunt and my grandparents are helping me for my school finances. I want to petition my parents when i turn 21, is there any possibility that they'll be approved even i'm a student and no income? If I can petition them they can also help me to finish my college since my parents are still young they are both 38yrs old and my mom is a registered nurse who can assist me with my needs. If yes, how about my 17yrs old brother & my 15 yrs old sister? My parents and siblings are in the Philippines right now. Thanks

Yes you can petition them after being 21! Find you a job, if you are not working: this will be necessary and will help a lot! The question about income: get you a co-sponsor to help you meet the income requirements! The more number of family you have, the more money you have to show to sponsor ( or support) them. For your siblings, you can file a petition ( I-130) for them too, but the time line for wait is from 7 to 22 years maximum. The good thing about your siblings, they are under age, so they will be under your parents responsibilities ( I believe after your parents get their Green Card, but still from the beginning your parents have to list the siblings in the application). On thing I would strongly recommend is to consult an expert lawyer to help and guide you, if you can. Lawyers are the best to situate you. On the forums, person such as myself can give you some ideas from case experiences! Since immigration is complicated, and each person is different from one another, you should if you can or want consult a lawyer! I wish you all the best! This is just an advice from a helper; NOT A LAWYER!!!
