  • reapplication for naturalization

    HI all

    I have
    greencard since 2004.
got reentry permit came back in 2006.
got reentry permit again came permanently in 2008.

since march 2008, I am in usa permanently.
I applied for citizenship this year(as one of my frnd got his who had similar stats as mine).
I was called for fingerprint, was then called for civic test, I passed my test was told that i will get a letter for oath in a month or so.
What i received was a letter of denial saying that I havent completed required duration of stay in usa.

Now as per the guidelines i read on uscis.gov, I should count 4 years and 1 day from the date i entered usa.
that means i will be eligible to re-apply for citizenship in march 2012.

    My question is
will the process of naturalization will be faster now as they already have my fingerprints and also i passed civics test?
do i have to do all this again?
how much time does it take for re-application? is it same like the original one for 6 months or so or
    is it way faster?

    thanks

As far as I know they do everything again including fingerprinting and interviewing/testing.

You need to undergo the full process once again.
