Eligibility of Indian Citizenship: PIO holder

Hello,

I was a Indian passport holder and I gave up my indian citizenship in 2005 and took US citizenship. I returned to India in 2006 and I have been living there since then.

Question:
1. When can I apply for Indian citizenship and what is the process.
2. If my child is born in India, will he get Indian citizen ship. My wife is a british passport holder, but my parents are Indians.
