  • Waiting for Oath Ceremony

    Hi Guys
I passed my naturalization interview in Los Angeles on 10/25/11 but I did not get letter for oath ceremony invitation till today like 2 weeks passed and also online status did not change (like schedule or put in to queue ).
Is anybody here who has Los Angeles experience ? I am wondering why they did not change online status ? I also called 800 call but I could not get any satisfied answer. Does anyone here know that how much usual time it take to get oath invitation N-445 ?

Did you pass your 5-year residency anniversary? If not, they might be waiting until you do.

      Dear Sir
      Thanks for replying.
I already completed my 5 years on 09/28/11 a month before my interview.
Do u think there is some unusual thing ?

I do not think that there is a problem. So I would not worry. Some offices take longer to schedule oaths. I would wait for two more weeks and if you do not hear back call them again.

            Waiting for N445

I applied for the N400 back in 2008 based on the 3-year marriage rule.
I had several interviews with USCIS officers (4 to be exact) because my wife wasn't able to come with me to the first 3. Last time I was there back in October 2010, I was approved for the I-751 and N-400 as well, they even made me retake the English test because they were saying somehow they've lost the first interview results! Anyhow, I took it again at the end of the interview and I was told that my FBI background check had expired and that they needed to perform a new one and that I should receive my N-445 between 2-3 weeks. So far it's December 1st 2011 and nothing yet, called several times and placed several e-Requests online and I was told they are "actively processing my case"... Sure, right?

            Regards,

            Diego

I would try to contact your congressman to push your case.
