  • Interview question

I received the letter yesterday and will have my interview on jan 11. I have some concern on my interview.
    1) what kind of question will they ask you besides the civic test?
    2) Do I have to report that I have quit my previous job 1 month ago? and how?

Besides the civics test, they will ask you to read a simple sentence and then to write a simple sentence. Something like "Who lives at the White House" and "The President lives at the White House"

They will also go over your N-400 application line-by-line including your latest trips.

When you come to the job section, you can inform the officer that you are not working for that employer anymore and the officer can update your N-400. This is not a big deal, so do not worry. In case you started working for a new employer, you can take a letter of employment verification from your new employer with you to the interview just in case. I had such a letter with me during the interview, but the officer did not ask for it. It's always good to be on the safe side, just in case.

    Best of luck!

Should not be a problem at all. Being employed/unemployed or being between jobs does not affect your naturalization process.

Just be sure that you also update your travel information when the officer goes over your N-400 form during the interview; i.e., you need to inform the officer about your latest trip that you are going now over Christmas. The officer will update your form accordingly with your new travel information.
