  • It's been 4 months since my interview and im still waiting!

I passed my english and history test over four montys ago. The interviewer said she has not approved me yet because of an arrest that happen 13 years ago. She was hostile the entire interview and i suspect shes dragging her feet with my case. I contacted uscis for a status and a reply from my testing location said they "needed more time". Should i write some kind of letter to them pleaing my case? Thanks so much

Call them again and indicate that it has been more than 120 days after your interview. If that does not help, ask an immigration lawyer what to do next.

Like i said i've done that and their response was they need more "time". Seriously i have to involve a lawyer in all this? It's not like they're going to give me free advice. Can the office just hold my application and ignore me like this? Because they don't want to approve me but don't have a reason to reject me? Sidenote: i did speakt to a lawyer and she said that there was nothing to worry about because the arrest was so long ago

      I'm still worried

Well, since it has been 120 days after your interview, you have the right to receive a decision. You could try to get your senator or congressman involved.
