  • Applying for Naturalization

    Hi all

My wife has been a resident since 02/23/09, which means in 20 days or so she will be eligible to file for Naturalization, form N400, i believe. However I am confused. It use to be that you have to file within 90 days prior to your third anniversary as a permanent resident. is it true? that means that she needs to file now, correct? thanks a bunch for the help

I am assuming that she got her green card based on marriage to you.

In that case, she can file now.

You need not wait for the full three years to get completed. You can apply 90 days before the three-year period ends.
