  • Weird situation, need advice

So, i have my Naturalization interview on the 18h March. Last week, my dad had a Heart Attack and he was admitted, because of that i had to travel out of country and i am still with him.

Now, i know that i don't have enough time to reschedule the interview, what if i just don't show at the interview, i know that my application would be administratively dropped.

But would that entitle me to any negative effect on my future application ? And is there a time frame as to when can i re-apply for my naturalization ?

    Any advice would be helpful.

    Thank You.

Sorry about your situation. If you miss your scheduled interview without notifying USCIS, theyy will
“administratively close” your case. If they close your case because you missed your interview, they will notify you at your last address of record. Unless you contact them to schedule a new interview within 1 year after they close your case, they will deny your application. You can contact the USCIS and detail your situation. Hope your Dad gets well soon.
