Can applying for Social Security Disability Insurance harm my citizenship prospects ?

I got my employment based Green Card last year, so I am a new US permanent resident.
Unfortuntely, I am presently on LTD (long- term- disability) due to a health condition.

My long term insurance carrier wants me to apply for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) . I think I am a "qualified alien" and have sufficient work credits for SSDI ( having worked for more than 5 of the last 10 years )

Can applying for Social Security Disability Insurance, while I am a permanent resident (having an employment based Green Card) negatively affect my prospects for US Citizenship later on ?

I hope to apply for US citizenship after 4+ years.

If you are eligible for SSDI and follow the rules I do not see any impact on your future US citizenship application. If you want to have peace of mind, you can ask an immigration lawyer about it. Don't think that they will charge you for such a simple question.
