I am newbie to this forum .
I want to give you some additional information about my son.
He got his Green card in nov 2007 (when he was studying his freshman year in NJ).
Then he has gone to do his studies by July 2011 to India.
He had come for vacation once in December and went back on jan 5th 2012 and he is coming on
July 5th 2012 will stay until august 4th in USA. Also he is planning to come for every 6 months (approximately)
He will do his higher studies in US after his under graduation in India.
I think he is eligible to apply his N 400 by nov 2012. (he is 19 yrs old )
My questions are
1). Is there any way he can apply N400 from India and also the Bio metrics in India.
When we start to fill out his N 400 form, we have come across the following doubts.
2) He was away in India from 01/06/2012 to 07/05/2012 that is for 181 Days. Is this "Trip last six months or more"? .
(since we thought 6 months means half of one year that is =365/2 = 182.5 days)
If your answer is yes 181 days is "Trip last six months or more", then (Since he is a student) what kind of proof we want to have?
3)Does he really need to apply through a Lawyer?
Please advice
