can i stay in usa with my c1/d visa for my girlfriend treatment purpose?

i am a marine engineer. my nationality is indian. have c1/d visa. my fiance (girlfriend, still no legal registration) has student visa and studding in texas, usa. she is also indian. she has a very bad knee cartilage problem. and we are planning to treat her knee in The Johns Hopkins Hospital , baltimore. so my quetion is can i accompany her after my sailing? how many days a c1/d visa holder can stay in usa? if we will marry in usa, then there will be any chance that usa govt spare me for 3 months? i just spent only 3 months over there for her treatment purpose. is this possible? if there is any way, plz let me know. thanx in advance.

as per my experience before, I spent 30 days using my C1-D with my family who is also visiting California and i had never been question when i came back in LAX after 6 weeks.........but that was 5 years ago, then i applied for B1-B2 after being employed for 1 year by the CCL, got approved but it got the same expiration w/ my C1-D (4 years), my wife who is a plain housewife got a 10 years valid B1-B2...
