Hi All,
I am an exchange student on a J1 visa, which expired recently, but my DS-2019 has been renewed. I plan to travel to India towards the end of this year and get my visa restamped. Could you please help me with the following queries-
1. From what I have read on the US visa website, I should be eligible for interview waiver/dropbox processing. Has anyone had any experience with dropbox for J1 renewal?
2. While I am planning to reach India sometime in the second week of December, I am worried that visa processing will get delayed because of Christmas hols...does anyone have any experience with this?
3. Finally, how fast was your J1 restamping? Some people say that they got approved the same day, others have had to wait for 1-2 weeks.
