J1 visa dropbox after changing program

Hi,

I did my residency training at a university in usa and my j1 was expired and i then moved to a different university program for fellowship. Now i am visiting india and i want to know if I should interview because i have changed my program. When i applied for visa iwas given the option of only dropbox option. I am leaving in a week and i dont know if i wilk be in trouble. Please advice. Thank you.

I am in the same situation as you were back in september. What did you end up doing? Were you eligible for dropbox or you had to go for an interview?
