My fiancee applied for J1 visa in the US embassy in London about a month back. The visa validity period was supposed to be one year but it came with validity from 15 Dec 2015 to 30th Dec 2015. We verified that the DS160 form was filled correctly.
I see there are two options to go from here -
1. Talk to US embassy in London and get the dates corrected. This may delay her travel to US. She has already submitted their complaint form.
2. Come to US on this visa and re-apply for another J1 when she visits her home country India.
What do you guys suggest? Has anyone dealt with similar situation?
