Hi all,
I looked for an answer to this question, but could not find one. So, here it goes:
I'm from the Netherlands and starting a new job in the US on a J1 visa. My DS2019 runs till September 2018, but my Dutch passport will expire May 2018. I have plans to visit home during the summer of 2017, which would allow me to get a new passport. But, will the consulate issue my visa given the fact that my passport expires before the visa does?
I imagine it is not a problem, but I'd like some certainty :-)
Thanks,
Mark
