Hi to everyone,
I have been accepted for a visiting period of 6 months at the Boston University, I am a PhD Student. I live in France and the corresponding US embassy is in Paris.
I got my Form DS-2019 and I have few questions.
I am italian and I have an italian passport which expires in May 2017. I need to renew it because I plan to stay in Boston since Jan 2017 to Jul 2017. My question is: should I renew it before I fix the appointment with the US embassy to get the J1 Visa? Or can I renew it just after I get my VISA?
How long does it take to schedule an appointment and get the J1-Visa at the US embassy of Paris?
