J1 extension and diversity visa lottery
Hi,
I know that when applying for a J1, a non-immigration visa, you shouldn't have applied for an immigration visa previously (as that can be regarded as contradictory). I am wondering if merely the participation in the diversity visa lottery whilst on the J1 could have an impact on my chances to extend my J1? Bonus question: What if only my dependent/spouse participated in said lottery?
