Hi everyone!
I just interviewed for an internship in the US and the only thing that might be trouble for them is the visa (obviously...). I would be sponsored by the CIEE so that's not a problem but they already have someone working for them that is going to apply for a J1 visa and that person saw somewhere that for each J1 visa intern, a company needs to have 3 American citizens or green card holders on its payroll, right now the company only have 3, meaning that they would not be able to hire a second J1 intern.
I couldn't find anything on the internet regarding this issue. I didn't see it in the restrictions for host companies either. Does anyone know about that rule? Is it an actual thing?
Thank you for your help!
