My wife got her status changed from F-2 to J-1 within USA. USCIS put a red stamp on the column # 6 of DS-2019 and signed it with date.
My wife is now in India for stamping and the visa officer was surprised to see this stamp on DS-2019 and according to the visa officer this stamp by USCIS is only done when someone travels outside USA. My wife never visited any other county and she got her DS-2019 stamped inside the USA. VISA officer refused to give her the J-1 visa because according to her DS 2019 is not proper.
I will appreciate if you can tell me if the stamping on DS-2019 by USCIS on the column#6 in DS-2019 is correct?
