Want to know how fast i can get a child passport

Hi All,


I am on H1b visa .I want to bring my wife and 1 year old child here .But
my wife says it will take one month for the passport of child to be ready.

Can somebody help me how fast a passport can be processed in Chennai Please ?? and where / which travel agent to be approached ?

every pp office has a tatkal scheme, where you can obtain pp in 2 days. chek with your chennai office if they have this facility.

all pp offices are under ministry of external affairs and i presume they have this tatkal scheme in chennai also.
