Thanks for the answer to my last question. My Finacee has hired a firm to help her, but I got this information from the firm that I don't think is true. " Please note that the minimum length of time required by the embassy that you have know each other is 2years. This is to dispel any room for doubts that this is an arranged marriage." I under that we have to provide evidence that we have met within the last two years. Is there anything to the statement that we have to know each other for 2 years before sending in the petition?

    Thanks again

You are right - the firm your fiancee hired gave you wrong info. For the I-129F petition, USCIS clearly states that you must have met at least once within the past 2 years, and NOT that you have known each other for at least 2 years. And you are to provide proof of this. Examples of proof include dated photographs, boarding passes, flight itineraries, and copies of the pages in both passports that were clearly stamped when you visited each other.

I don't want to scare you - but please make sure your fiancee keeps a close eye on what the firm does with your petition. There have been many horror stories of lawyers who botched visa applications, and I read them here: ***********.com/forums.
