Am currently having an application with the USCIS...( I- 129F)which is 4 months old now..and still on Initial Review...I will like if any1 could tell how long this actually take cos it says on or before 5 months and once this is approved how long does it take to get everything sorted out..Note: My fiance is in the US and am in the UK..kindly help..

If the service center currently is processing petitions within five months, you’re still within that timeframe. It can take a week or two after that before you get the NOA. Once the petition is approved, you should receive the paperwork from the Embassy within three to four weeks. Depending on how soon you can schedule the medical exam and the availability at the Embassy, you should have your visa interview within one to three months after that. -

Thanks but som1 who does dsame in the state told me I don't need to wait for dem..once is approved I should go online that d paper work they send out is online so I can print it ...get my medical done ASAP ...den left with d interview date which is d last part ...what do u think ??Comment

Different embassies have different procedures for how they handle the visa application. In some cases you have to fill out forms that are available online and send them to the embassy. In other cases the embassy sends you the forms by mail. Regardless how the embassy does it, you have to wait for the I-129F to be approved before the USCIS forwards it to the embassy. The embassy will then contact you with instructions on how to proceed with the visa application.Comment
