  • Hope for those struggling! :)

I just wanted to come back and post on this great site as it has helped my wife and I soooo much! My wife and I have recently gone through the Fiance Visa process using this site as one of our main guidelines. I am happy to say that, despite some minor set backs along the way, my wife is now a happy permanent resident, living with me in the US. She found a great job and we just bought a new house! So,I know this process can be daunting, but good things come if you are have patience.

Next for us is the application to remove conditions on the green card next year. We are not looking forward to it, but will get through it, just like we get through the rest so far. TOGETHER!

God bless and best of luck to you all! Let nothing stop love!

Question: while your fiance application was PENDING.....

I read your post.. and thought that you might be able to answer my original post... (please read below)

My Fiancé resides in Canada I live in the states. Just over a month ago we submitted out documents and have a pending I-I29F Petition for alien fiancé. My question is while this application is pending (which to my understanding can take up to 8 months with the USCIS office in California) can he enter into the USA to visit me? I have been told no, that he can be denied entry at customs. Once this application gets approved we then have 90 days to get married and he can only enter the USA once during that 90 day time frame? The thought of going 8 potential months not seeing one another seems tough! I understand that I can enter into Canada to visit him but unfortunately my work in not as flexible as his. If he is denied entry at customs for the states are there any ramifications? Meaning, could it hold up, red flag our overall process?

Was your fiance able to visit you in the states while the I-I29F Petition for Alien Fiance was pending?

If anyone has ANY answers to my many questions... I would greatly appreciate any advice!

      Thank you

        visiting fiance

Same situation, we were strongly advised against fiancee coming to the States...why risk it, we were told. So I visited my fiancee in Mexico, and we also traveleled together to Canada. I'd suggest you hold off on US visits in the interim...it's not worth any risk. Good luck to you.
