Proxy Marriage n K1 Visa application
Hi everyone,
I married my current wife through proxy marriage because I am extremely busy with work that I cannot travel at the moment and was wondering on filing a fiancee visa for her but an attorney told me it will be better if I go to where she is right now so that the proxy marriage can be consumated so I can file i-130 for her which is be more easier. I tried to request for a week international travel leave but was told, I can't get approved. I am active duty . Does anyone know what huddle I might face if I file fiancee' visa for my wife... (I know there's a provision for unconsumated proxy marriage to file for K1 Visa).
And should I used her previous name in filing the application? I ask because I have had her do a name change to my name.
Hope I get some answers before I submit anything to USCIS.
