I'm hoping someone can give us some guidance.
Last July my Fiance, who is in the US military, applied for our fiance visa petition. We received our NOA1 July 25th 2012.
Since then our applicacation has remianed in "initial review' with no RFE. Nothing.
Calling the UCIS even tier 2 has been useless! They tell us to try in 30 days, and nothing changes. We even put in a service request because it is well over processing times in may and they sent us a letter saying we should wait 45 days. still nothing!
Because of the nature of his work in the military, he could be deployed at very short notice (wouldn't get orders until just several days before!) and I am growing concerned he will be deployed before we are able to get married. I have read that we may be able ro expedite on these grounds, and his commander is prepared to write a letter to say he could be deployed at very short notice. Is this enough evidence to expedite our already very delayed petition for approval.
We are a case perfect situation: No previous marriages or kids, no criminal stuff my end, he's in the armed forces. I just cant see why its taking so long when I can see others being processed in front of us! help! I need some help and advice!
Is there a way we can just see where our application is, to make sure it's safe and being processed and not just lost? What is the best route forward to get things moving? This uncertainty is very upsetting
Thanks for any help
