  • K1 visa denial under section 221(g), K1 visa denial under section 221(g)

My US citizen fiancée applied K1 visa (Fiancé Visa) for me in April 2005 in US and I was called for an interview on August 10, 2005 at US Embassy, New Delhi. After thoroughly interview counselor told me that I am ineligible under section 221(g) of Immigration and
Naturalization.Counselor asked me for come back for fingerprints of all ten fingers with bank draft of $85 and she told me Embassy will send my fingerprints to America and will contact me after getting result of
fingerprints from America. My question is why I was not granted visa?? what are fingerprints for?? How long it will take after getting fingerprints result??

Your application was put under what is known as Administrative Review. Your fingerprints were taken for FBI background checks. There is no one-size-fits-all time frame for cases under AR. AR can take anything between two weeks to two years. It varies from country to country and from case to case.
