I am on my F1 visa now and getting married to my girfriend who is 18 years old and she is a US citizen.My F1 is valid till 2007. i am getting married in next 2 months here in US only. Will i b able to apply for residency? what are the steps for applying for GC?what are the issues involving visa status for joining residency in my case? Thank you in advance.

Your wife will have to file I-130 and other forms (affidavit of support etc)
and you will have to file app for Employment authorization document (EAD),
travel document and I-485 to adjust status from F-1 to GC.
Based on this you will first be able
to get the EAD so you can start work and GC will be granted only after
your interview which may take any period from months to 1-2 years depending on your location. -
