green card question

Hi! I got married to my wonderful husband in July. I applied for change of status, and waiting to hear back from the USCIS. As I'm also looking forward to going back to school. As a green card holder, can I study and pay for instate tuition? Do I have to wait for me to apply for instate tuition at a college or university?

Green Card Renewal from India expired 3 months a go

I am from Mumbai - India.

I am a new user to Immihelp. However I didn't find any way to post a new thread , so replying to an existing thread. Apologies for this.

My wife's green card has expired on 30th June 2013 and we are in India. She has not travelled to U.S. since 2008.

I would like to know the below things, if you could please help

1. As far as I am aware, she has to fill form i90 online and wait for the renewal ? Am I correct over here ?

2. If she gets a Green Card, does she has to travel immediately to US ?

3. Once she gets it , what will be the procedure for me to get one ?

4. Do I have to wait for some time to get my processed ?


It would be a great help, if you could please counsel.

She is no longer a permanent resident, and cannot renew her card. She must get a new one. Are you a US citizen? You can petition her again.

After the approval of your change of status, you can go to school and pay for instate tution. being a green card holder you wont be finding any difficulties.
