Hello everyone,
I knew when I met this girl that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her and she says the same about me. Here is a little about our story. I was stationed overseas in Korea and just returned 2 weeks ago. My issue is 2 days prior to me leaving, I bought and paid for her a ticket and flew her back to the Phillipines. Her and I dated the last three months that we were in Korea, we were together both day and night, every free moment we had. We definitely became a couple and traveled, shopped a lot and have a hundred pictures together. And since we both have arrived to our perspective homes, we Skype, viber, ******** several times a day on top of all of this. I even have plans to go and visit her in November or December / both if I get my way. I do love this girl and she says she loves me, I believe. We wake each other up with messages or phone calls telling each other we missed the other and we love the other. I did propose to her and she excepted before she left and we are looking forward to the day when we are together. We know it will all be worth it in the long run. My problem is I am so affectionate and I feel I need to tell her every chance I get, every opportunity when we talk and she does me as well. But I think I am being a little over bearing on it at times. Just wondering how you all handle it and the wait for so long.
I submitted the Visa paperwork in September, we filled it out together and it has been received. It says it is under initial review and I called today just to check on it. I understand they say it can take up to 5 months to process, I do not understand why it takes so long to process the paperwork. I mean, they get about 10000 a year and process that many, and from what I understand the approval rate is usually pretty good. My question is, how do you handle waiting for so long to be with someone that you love? I plan on going to see her like I said earlier, money is not the problem for sure. I just don't understand why it takes so long to process and complete the paperwork. 5 months, my goodness. I have been coping with it and today I called to check and they told me it was still under initial review. Once that happened, I felt like my world was being ripped out from under me. Just looking for some advice here and how to handle the situation. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
