  • K-1 Interview: Police Clearance

Hello Everyone! My fiancé needs your help. She wrote: In preparation for the interview, I am now gathering some possible documents needed for it. I am confused about obtaining a police clearance because I'm currently in Denmark, and I am originally from Philippines. I've been in Singapore for 2 years. Do i really need to obtain police clearances from the countries I've been working before? I've been in 3 countries since 16, does it mean I need to obtain 3 police clearances too? What will I do? Please help! Your advice/help is highly appreciated.

Yes, she will need clearances from all 3 countries. Go to the State Department "reciprocity tables"

Singapore is supposed to have instituted a rule that once outside of that country, a police clearance is not available. The U.S. Embassies, however, still request Singapore clearances, and non-Singporeans are still getting those clearances. She can order her Philippines NBI clearance through the closest Philippines Embassy or Consulate.
