  • Preparing for the embassy interview.

My husband's interview will happen soon, the NVC has approved and sent our case to the embassy in Colombia. My husband and I have a young daughter. That being said, I have not be able to see my husband in over 2 years. Would our time apart be a reason to deny residency? I do have plans to go to see him very soon, but should I also attend the interview? Our time apart has been due to financial strains, there is no other reason. Any advice would be helpful.

Did you file K-1? if you and you have not meet within 2 years for submitting the K-1 application, then they will deny or send request for futrhter evidence.
if K-3 then it will be red flag but not automatic denail

For an immigrant spousal visa, which you have apparently filed for your husband, a two-year time since last being in person is not that unusual and no particular reason for a denial. There is no particular reason for you to be at the interview, other than to provide moral support for his success.
