  • I-129F newest version

    Hello,
While putting together my K-1 packet I came across multiple version of the I-129F form and I am now confused which one to use. Can you please sent me a link to the correct, most current version? Thank you in advance.

Also, The checklist states a requirement for Form I-129F supplement: Part B, Question 18, explanation of meeting in person ..however one of the versions has this question as number 34.a in Part 2.

    Which is correct?

    Use only the 6/13/13 version
You may be confusing the I-129, I-129CW and I-129S

Thank you for such fast response.
So as a graduate student, living in my parents home, what chances do we have of obtaining the K-1 visa for my fiancé?
If my parents will be the co-sponsors, can we do anything else to increase our chances?
Perhaps, involve someone from his family?

Sponsors other than the petitioner (you) are not always accepted for fiancee visas. But your own parents are your best option.

Ok then after sending the K-1 I-129F packet, what are my next steps? I know that we meet all other requirements but the sponsorship will be an issue since I have never filed a tax return yet (I am continuing my education since high school). Do I document that? how do I fill out the 134 form and what is the correct form for the co sponsor (in this case my parents) How much income do we have to report?
WHat do you mean about co sponsors not always being accepted? When are they not? HOw can we increase are chances?

Thank you in advance for your responses

            Sandra,

After submitting the I-129F fiance visa packet, you wait for receipt and approval notices from USCIS, about 6 months.

When the approval status reaches the foreign consulate, the visa applicant will receive an instruction packet from the consulate where his visa will be processed.

Fiance visas are normally expected to be sponsored by the Stateside petitioner, and he/she is presumed to have sufficient income to support a spouse from abroad. Exceptions are made for petitioners with reasonable explanations for not having sufficient income, i.e., if students or medically dependent on parents.

You must be 21 or older to petition a fiance.

Sponsorship requires proof of about $19,000 for first two members of household and about $5,000 each of additional members. If you use your parents as co-sponsors, their combined estimated annual income should be $29,000 or greater.

You asked "how to fill out the I-134, Affidavit of Support." Start by printing it out and reviewing the form. It is only two pages and anyone with minimal experience in completing basic forms should be able to complete it.

ok. it is much clearer to me now. Thank you. what I meant with the Affidavit of Support is how many co-sponsors can we have? If we have my parents and his grandma, will that increase our chances? So the question is, can we fill out two co-sponsor forms?
