I need Police Clearance Certificate for my visa Interview

Problem : My current address(Bangalore) is different from address on Passport (Chennai)

1) Can I get Police Clearance Certificate from Chennai Passport Office?
2) Is it necessary to be from Current Address Passport Office?

This requirement (obtaining acceptable police clearance) varies by country.

For India, following is the official U.S. State Departmetn instructions:

"...All Indian IV applicants aged 16 and above, residing in India, should obtain police certificates from the local Passport Office...."

Why don't you try to get clearances from both locations.
