My last five questions have gone unanswered. I hope that is only because nobody feels confident that they have a solid answer.
Sorry to be a pain, but this process has me nervous, and is keeping me up at night.
Anyway, I am the guy who lives in Singapore with his fiance. We are using the K1 in a somewhat unorthodox but still legal way. We are planning to marry in the USA were we can be close to friends, but we are not planning to settle in the USA. We had no real plan to submit an AOS. But the embassy does not know that.
The interview is coming up. The interviewer will ask why we are not settling in the USA. I am not sure how to make the point that we are going the 319b route. Also what evidence do I need?
I have my w2's that state that my employer is located in San Jose California.
I have a letter from my employer that clearly states that I am on a 3 year assignment in Singapore.
My finance also works for a company based out of LA, but I guess her income means nothing anyway.
Is there anything I should know?
