    Hello All,

My fiance interview is getting close and we're putting together the documentation needed for the interview. The problem is my fiance lived in a Syria for 18 years and then she moved to Turkey after the civil war started there. It's hard to get police certificates from Syria now, she was able to have someone send her police certificates and birth certificates but unfortunately they are not certified by ministry of foreign affairs nor they are translated to english. Will the embassy accept those documents ?

    Thanks

We have only the interview to go, so I am in the same position you are. I do not know if the forms have to be certified or not. I no know that a translation is required, and it is a good idea to make sure that the translator somehow stamps the document to show that they are a professional translator. Maybe the local library will offer the service at a minimal charge.
