We are almost done with the K1 process. So far every step has taken place faster than my research suggested that it would!

We just received a letter from the embassy. We have a interview in three weeks. I know, I know, everyone says it is a formality, and we should not sweat it. But we are nervous. Should we call and confirm a week before?

Also there have been errors (even incorrect grammar) in both letters that we have received to date. Normal?

We are nervous, and we filled all the forms on my iPad mini, what excuse does the embassy have?

Following up to confirm an interview date is redundant and unnecessary.

Just be certain that the required medical exam is completed about 10 days before the interview date.

The applicant should carry substantial sponsorship proof (I-134, Affidavit of Support and accompanying documents) and relationship proof to her interview.

The errors you have seen on USCIS, NVC or Embassy correspondence should not be ignored, and need to be followed up with the DS-160 or Embassy to insure those errors will not block successful visa approval.

We completed the medial exam. We have the police reports. We have proof of our relationship. We have bank statements, etc.

The errors are in their correspondence:

The first letter contained grammar errors. It included an i-134a form (expired on 12/31/2013). It also made reference to a document called the "Statement of Legal rights to Immigrant Victims of Domestic Violence". However the document was not included in the envelope.

The second letter (appointment notice) said to follow the instructions that are enclosed. There are no instructions enclosed. The instructions came with the previous letter. The "Statement of Legal Rights..." came with this letter.

      Strange huh?

Now what to do about the expired form i-134a? I guess I will see of someone has already started a thread about that.

        Linux Guy,

I think you are referring to form I-134, not I-134A (no such form). The 12/2013 expiration version is still acceptable by USCIS and State Department. There is a later version, 2/2014, but it really doesn't matter which version you use, since both versions are acceptable.

The "Statement of Legal Rights..." you are referring to doesn't apply to your circumstances, so don't lose any sleep over that statement's absence.
