That's a very long time, like my Wife's and I (Philippines marriage). We sent our papers to USCIS in March 2014, they processed Approval in April, with our new NVC case number on June 6, 2014. We still have NOT had our interview yet, and after reading this forum, I think it would be pointless to process the outdated I-129 (K-3 Visa) this late. They also lost my wife's NBI, Marriage, and Birth certificates, making us resend them AGAIN with another 60 day processing delay.
As far as your situation, rodman, you should've had an I-797 from USCIS, followed by at least a "DS-261 Notice" by NVC with a NVC Case Number, Invoice ID Number, and Beneficiary Number on the letter within 3 months before the visa process. Give USCIS a call if you can. NVC needs the Case Number from you if you want any phone inquiries, which for the most part they tell you nothing more than the same letters/emails from NVC.
Thanks for your reply. it's extremely odd they didn't reply with anything so I guess at this stage we'll have to recommence the process. do you remember how fast they'd mail you back the I-797 and DS-261?
I filed for my fiancee on July 22nd 14 and my case is still under initial review as well. I understand how frustrating it must be. This link https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.do says that they are currently processing cases submitted on June 6, 2014 if I am reading it correctly. The problem with that website is that it says "Field Office Processing Dates for Texas Service Center as of: November 30, 2014" even though it was last updated on Jan 2015. So I am guessing that they should be processing applications submitted in July now and I am hoping my process gets moved to the next phase.
