Post Interview request for additional documents

My fiancee went for his interview in India and was granted a K1 visa, when he went to pick it up
they requested an additional document. An original birth certificate. He turned this in within a few days
but has not gotten any updates. How can we find out the status. the web site at UCIS travel docs just says "delivery information"
nothing else. anyone have any ideas?

He turned in the paper work April 2nd, its now May 8th and still nothing. Three times the case status has been updated and shows ready. We still do not have the visa. I have an attorney and even he don't know what to do.

Have you or the attorney you hired asked the Embassy by phone or email for a status?

The same thing happened to us except they asked for the documents before they would approve the K1. We provided the documents and things went silent. Days later they sent an email that said, "Please pick up your package". Her passport with the K1, and the envelope was waiting.
