Hi,
I'm on H1B visa, My wife is on H4 visa. When my h1 expired my employer only filed H1 for me. I didn't know that I have to apply for H4 extension and my employer didn't tell me. Past two times my wife got H4 stamped when we went India in Chennai US consulate.
When I apply for my 7th year H1B extension we came to know we didn't file H4 extension for my wife. When we realized it was already 177th day she is out of status. We immediately applied for H4 extension and my 7th year H1B extension (Premium processing) together. I got my H1B extension approved. But My wife didn't get her H4 extension approved. We applied for H4 extension on 178th day and INS got the application on 180th day.
What I have to do now? Can you please help me?
