I have read about experiences at the ports. Most people say it takes 10-45 when arriving on a K1.
Someone said they rolled their eyes so the agent said something like, "Do you want your green card or not?". Being a USC entering with my finance, I would like nothing more than to say, "No". But it might not be so wise to let a government official know what I really think.
Anyway, can we ask for the process to expedite if we only want the i94 and whatever minimum processing is required? We are not going to AOS. We have our tickets as evidence, that we will be only in the USA for 14 days.
We really need not bother wasting the taxpayers money, and our time on any additional steps. I do not know how to communicate to the "officer" that he or she can, in theory, quickly process us if he or she chooses to do so.
I guess there is the argument that we are "abusing the K1, by using it as a means to tourism", but what option did they give us? We cannot get a B2.
Thanx
