Yes, with the MNL case number you can proceed with the pre-interview requirements, so long as you meet each documentation requriement as it comes up.

Just to clarify, are saying that once we have the Manila Case Number I can go ahead and process everything here in Manila and no need to wait for the instruction documents from the embassy?

Is it ok to proceed with the interview without the packet?

    Thanks!

    I'll keep those in mind.

I think we just have to wait for the NVC case number and then proceed with the process.

I'll visit this forum again if I have any questions.

    thanks a ton..

    1. Your guy should send a completed and signed I-134 (original signature), copy of 2013 Federal tax return, W2 or 1099 forms, employment verification letter, a few recent paystubs and bank statements.

    2. Everything excepting original signature page of I-134 can be emailed to you to be printed out at our end.

    couple of questions though:

    1. do we need to fill out the I-134 for the affidavit of support and some other proof that he can financially support me in the US?
    2. all other documents, proof, etc., can these be scanned by my fiance, send it to me via email and print it here?

Really appreciate your attention and response to all my questions..

There is a good possibility that your fiancee will receive a letter from the National Visa Center and that you will receive an instruction letter from the Manila Embassy. Unfortunately, many fiancee cases never receive the NVC letter and/or the Embassy instruction packet.

After 3-4 weeks from the USCIS approval Notice, your fiancee should call the National Visa Center ( (603) 334-0700 ) and ask for the Manila Embassy case number (MNL **** **** **). The NVC can usually provide this about 3-4 weeks after USCIS has approved the petition. Your fiance should send you a copy of the USCIS approval Notice and the MNL case number and you can then proceed with the following:

    1. Download deposit slip for paying the $240 visa fee at BPI bank.
    2. Pay $240 visa fee
    3. Complete online form DS-160
    4. Obtain interview date online or by phone
    5. Complete medical exam at St Luke's ($225, US equivalent)

It's been 2 weeks now and we haven't heard any update from anyone regarding the status of the petition. My fiance is in Las Vegas and I'm in the Philippines.

    2 questions:

    1. How long it would normally take for us to receive an udpate or the next step to take?
    2. Is there any contact number to use aside from (202) 4857600 and (603) 3340700 (these are NVC numbers from their site) because no one's answering when we called them up to get an update/information.

Really appreciate your thoughts on this.
