Consular processing visa vs a K3 visa

Hello All,

I am getting engaged in a couple of weeks and I am confused about how to get her to the States. She is my cousin and it is illegal to get married to a cousin in the state where I live, so I can't file a finacee visa as it asks us if we are related on the forms.

I guess my options are a K3 visa or a consular processing visa.

What is the difference between them? which one would you recommend?

Anyone had experience with a consular processing visa?

K3 visas are no longer supported by USCIS. A CR-1 spousal visa, using form I-130, is what you need to use.

A Direct Consular Filing (DCF) requires you to provide proof of long-term legal residency in the country where your wife will be processed for the visas.
