k1 visa and replaced passport

Since my fiance applied for fiance visa in February, and the time they sent me paperwork to fill out my passport had to be renewed.. The number on the new passport is different. Will we lose our fee and have to start the process over??

In which step of the K1 visa process did you report your passport number? It should have been when completing the DS-160. Is that what you are concerned about?
