  • Should I get a co-sponsor for the I-134

I'm filling out the I-134 and realized I don't have a lot of assets and will not meet the poverty guidelines. I have a decent amount in my 401K, and make 55K+/year. Can I include my 401K? If so, where? If not... should I still have a co-sponsor given my salary?

If you check the poverty Guidelines I think the minimum anual income for 1 person is around $12,000. I asked this question earlier this week and the response I got was, I was ok. You just need a letter from your employer stating the information it asks for and your last years income tax. I myself listed what little assets I have and my 401k and 3 years worth of taxes and I am taking my last 3 paystubs when I go to my fiances interview on the 14th of this month. If you make $55,000 you should be fine. Iwas worried and checked many different sites asking that same question and everyone says I am OK. On one site I guy said all he took was his income tax and the letter from his job and he had no problems in columbia.
