Re-entering US on K1 by land for Canadian citizens

hi all,
I'm a Canadian citizen in possession of a K1 fiancé visa. i live close to the border in canada and go back and forth to US all the time. I am processing my K1 on Aug10(the visa expires ok Aug11).
Can I drive to canada and re-enter US after processing my K1 but before getting married and applying for Adjustment of status?
i have to take care of my house and everything before i permanently move to US.
